yelpThese cookies are absolute perfection. I discovered them at Whole Foods one day. They were giving out free samples; one bite and I was hooked. I’m a fan of the Ginger Spice and the Chocolate Chip, although I’ve yet to try the other flavors. Without a doubt, they make some of the best vegan cookies I’ve had. They’re soft and chewy, and more importantly, taste just like their non-vegan counterparts that you’d find in a regular grocery store.

My friends bought some of these after we sampled them at the Oakland Art Murmur. I don’t know how they taste so good without the traditional ingredients. The Ginger Spice was by far the best. I will definitely seek them out again. This is just proof that baked vegan goods can taste good and the No Cookie is one of the best ways to show that. You can get them at Whole Foods apparently. Of all the flavours I sampled, I liked the Ginger Spice the best. Yum yum yum.

It’s like, where’s the cookie? There’s no cookie there. Like, they took all the ingredients out of making a cookie and you’re eating some kind of phantasm. Amazingly good cookie. More and more I’m thinking that eggs, wheat, sugar and milk must just be cheats that get in the way of making a real cookie because this is better than any conventional packaged cookie out there.

I just sampled the Ginger Spice “No Cookie” at Wholefoods on 4th/SF, and man it was just as the guy said: Delicious and Moist!
These cookies are way better than any cookie I’ve ever had and even though they’re packaged they taste homemade! Yummy in my tummy!

Wow times ten! we used to pass these No Cookies when I saw them in Whole Foods all the time. but, one day we stopped to have a sample….and we haven’t been the same since these are so freakin moist! and delicious. and you don’t feel terrible after gorging on like 2 or 3 or 5. and they have no wheat. and no eggs and no dairy. they are vegan. normally i don’t eat vegan because i am predisposed to butter and cream and such, so trust that i don’t ever buy vegan baked goods. but these make me crossover! even my non veg husband tears them up by the bag!

I haven’t been to the bakery itself in Oakland, but I have tasted the cookies that come from here – and they’re AWESOME. (I’ve found them at Rainbow grocery in SF) I know I’ll end up at the bakery sometime, so I’ll update this later for sure…

This little bakery cranks out spectacular cookies. Here’s the catch though…they’re vegan. I know what you’re thinking, but don’t let the fact that they’re vegan spoil it for you. Trust me, I’d eat a baby seal if you wrapped it in bacon, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a veggie burger or some incredible vegan cookies. About 13 year ago I interviewed the owner of the bakery for a magazine. As I left, he gave me something like a million cookies, fresh out of the oven, therefore ensuring my eternal love for No-cookies. Find them at a health store near you.
